Anthony Martin
CEO & Managing Director
Anthony has almost 20 years experience in leadership positions in the pharmaceutical and automated technologies industries. He has held positions in front line sales, management, training, marketing, global project management, workforce effectiveness and leadership development.
He has experience developing and leading teams in numerous multi-cultural, multi-lingual markets such as New York City, the North-East corridor, South Florida, Southern California and Hawaii. During his tenure with the second largest pharmaceutical company, he ran a specialty business with annual sales of $180,000,000. This specialty business included federal markets, managed care organizations, military accounts as well as commercial retail business. His experience includes launching four major brands, three of which exceeded one billion dollars in annual sales, as well as launching six product line extensions.
After spending over 15 years with a major pharmaceutical company, Anthony co-founded Exemplar Leadership Development & Training. Exemplar is a firm focused on helping organizations grow by developing and maximizing their most important asset – their people. In 2011, Anthony assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer overseeing all Exemplar operations.
In 2009 he recognized a need for leadership development and workforce effectiveness in Latin America and Hispanic markets. In late 2009 he co-founded Conexión LD&T – a firm that specializes in training and developing the next generation of leaders in organizations that operate in Hispanic and Latin America markets.
Anthony is fluent in English and Spanish. He lives in San Diego with his wife and two daughters.
He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Anthony continues to further his academic studies annually through executive level courses at the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
